Fellow musicians and friends of Danny Guyton are holding a memorial concert to honor our late friend. Two years ago, we had a benefit to raise money for his dialysis medical expenses. Enough money was raised as a result of this benefit to cover all of his medical expenses at the time.

Danny, along with the rest of us, had a great time putting that benefit together. Before his death this past July, Danny asked that we sponsor another benefit in order to give back to those who helped him in his time of need. He requested that the money be divided among Hospice Community Care, The National Kidney Foundation, and a special fund, designed to help others in the Rock Hill community.

The memorial concert will be held on Sunday, October 21st at the Rock Hill VFW. Seven bands will provide a range of music from Bluegrass to Rock N Roll. BBQ will be served and numerous raffles will be held throughout the event.

Come join us at the 2nd annual Danny-Thon -> Red Shoes For Rock ’N Roll. This afternoon-long concert was started in 2006 as a fundraiser for our good friend, Danny Guyton. This year we kick off the event again in memory of Danny and as a celebration of his life and his music.

While the event will focus on remembering Danny through music and fellowship, Red Shoes is also intended to raise funds to support those programs that did so much to support Danny, primarily The National Kidney Foundation and Hospice Community Care. Proceeds will also go towards establishing the Danny Guyton fund which will make great efforts to help those in need.
